Roberto Cavalli was born in 1940 in Florence. Creativity was running through his veins from birth, with his master painter grandfather being a member of the Macchiaioli movement. In 1994, using his innovative methods, Cavalli shook up the denim industry with the first pair of sand blasted jeans. This method has now become a look that’s used in the majority of denim brands and their collections, worldwide.
